Character Education

Character Education at Auten Road Intermediate School

In addition to our Life Skills Program, daily announcements, and teachings from our counselors, much of our Character Education Program is built into the weekly practices of our Advisory meetings within homerooms.  Through this venue, our students and staff are immersed in character and community building, often focusing the conversation upon positive character traits including respect, responsibility, citizenship and trustworthiness.  These Advisory meetings are also coupled with schoolwide activities to promote further character development while major events such as the Week of Respect, Pinwheels for Peace, Mix-It-Up-At-Lunch, and No-Name Calling Week are recognized.
