Welcome from the

Auten Road School Home & School Association (ARSHSA)

The Executive Board of the Auten Road School Home & School Association (ARSHSA) would like to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year at Auten Road Intermediate School (ARIS)!

ARSHSA is made up of ARIS parents, staff and administrators. The purpose of ARSHSA is to promote the general well-being of ARIS students, as well as to promote a closer relationship between the home and school so that parents and teachers may cooperate in the educational, social and recreational development of the students.

In this cooperative spirit, ARSHSA provides funds and resources to ARIS to enhance educational opportunities available to each student. ARSHSA's annual budget averages $50,000. Each year, we raise funds to support school assemblies, special clubs like computer coding and drama, Scholastic magazines, classroom books, 5th grade tee shirts, staff appreciation events, staff grants, the STEM summit, various family fun events such as the Wizards Game, and end-of-year Carnival!

Ways to Get Involved

We hope you’ll join and get involved in the ARIS experience this year. There are many meaningful ways for parents and guardians to contribute to ARSHSA.

Step 1: Become a Member

The first step is to become a dues paying member of ARSHSA by filling out the Membership order form that can be found on Community Pass. The membership fee is $15 annually.

If you do not have a Community Pass account or prefer to send your completed membership form to school, please print this one-page form and follow the instructions.

Step 2:  Volunteer Your Time

Our success as an association can only be accomplished through the commitment of parent volunteers. Snack days, book fairs, STEM Summit, teacher appreciation events, and the end-of-year carnival are just a small sampling of the activities where we count on you to donate your time and energy.

We invite all ARSHSA members to become involved as a committee member or volunteer.  See our Committees/Chairpersons page for a complete listing of committees. If you are interested in volunteering your time, email us at [email protected]

Step 3: Attend General Meetings

Parent participation in ARSHSA meetings is invaluable. Parent insight and ideas allow the association to evolve and better serve the student population.  A Zoom link will be emailed to members at least 48 hours prior to meetings.

Step 4: Contribute Financially to Support Our Programming

In addition to taking part in the various fundraisers throughout the year, you can participate in the Invest in Your Child program through Community Pass, and feel good knowing that 100% of the money supports ARSHSA and your ARIS student(s).

This ARSHSA contribution is eligible for employer matching gift programs.

If you do not have a Community Pass account or prefer to send your Invest in Your Child form to school, please print this one-page form and follow the instructions.

All of this information is also available in the ARSHSA membership form.pdf
