Ms. Tuller began her teaching career in Hillsborough in 2000 as a grade five teacher at Amsterdam Elementary School.  Two years later Ms. Tuller made the move to Auten Road when it opened as an Intermediate School. While at Auten Road, Ms. Tuller has served as a grade five teacher for ten years, and most recently (for the last five years) as Auten Road’s Computer Literacy Resource Teacher.

Ms. Tuller has been instrumental in helping to re-write and implement a computer literacy curriculum that centers on two important topics - “Digital Citizenship and Coding.”  The focus is not only to help students understand important aspects of online safety, security, and ethics, but to provide foundational skills that will serve them well in the future. Ms. Tuller's philosophy is to provide opportunities and avenues for her students to have ongoing conversations at home about these important and ever-changing topics.  It is comforting to know that all students will have an opportunity to learn from Ms. Tuller while at ARIS. In fact, all students from 5th grade through 9th grade would now have had Ms. Tuller as their computer literacy and resource teacher!

Along with her integral involvement on the ARIS School Leadership Team, Ms. Tuller has also served as a Technology “Turn-Key” Trainer for many years providing valuable and helpful instruction pertaining to technology integration in the classroom.  Additionally, Ms. Tuller also serves as the Coding Club Advisor at Auten Road. The club was initiated by Ms. Tuller five years ago and provided a unique approach toward helping students better understand and apply skills in coding.  Her club centers on offering six interest-based categories for students to choose… these include: Game Design, Art, Music and Sound, Fashion and Design, Sports, and Social Media. It is the largest club at ARIS which serves nearly 150 students.

As a resident of Hillsborough, and having her own children in our district, Ms. Tuller understands the level of excellence that permeates our district.  On behalf of the entire staff at ARIS, we appreciate the work that Ms. Tuller does each day for the students at ARIS. She truly embraces this spirit of excellence and we are proud that she has been recognized to receive this honor!
