Back-to-school night is an important tradition marking the beginning of the new school year. On this night, your child's teachers will explain the goals of their class and for your child. Additionally, teachers will share information about their teaching style and methodology, grading policy, and the requirements for a successful year. Back-to-School night is an exciting time and I hope you plan to join us!

For your planning, Back-to-School Night this year is as follows:

Notes:

If your child receives Wilson, Speech, Occupational Therapy and/or Intervention Services, you are encouraged to stop by the library-media center during your child’s lunch/recess period, or any other period, throughout the evening.

Also, please stop by our Atrium / Commons area to connect with representatives from our Home & School Association, Hillsborough Public Library, Boro Safe, and the Hillsborough Township Health Department.

Tips for Successful Evening:

  • Come to school prepared with your child’s homeroom teacher’s name and room number. If you don’t have this information, you can stop by our main office when you arrive.

  • Report to your child’s homeroom by 6:00 p.m. so you can pick up your child’s schedule that he/she has prepared for you.

  • Audio/Video recording of teacher presentations is not permitted.

  • Be ready to volunteer. There will be opportunities to sign up for school-wide activities through our Home and School Association. You will be better prepared if you have already given some thought to availability and how you would like to contribute to the school community.

Parking. Please utilize both the front and rear parking lots, as well as any space along the side and front driveways.

NO CHILDREN, PLEASE. Back-to-School Night is a unique school program that is designed for adults. Although we recognize that arranging for childcare is challenging, we strongly believe that our parents and guardians should be free to focus on meeting their child’s teacher and listening to each presentation. As a result, we respectfully ask that students and siblings do not attend Back-to-School Night.

If you were unable to attend Back to School Night, below is a slide presentation and some links for your reference.
